Biography
I am a board certified Clinical Social Work Intern who works with teens, adults, and couples to create meaningful, lasting change. I often support people navigating trauma, relationship challenges, and substance use, as well as anxiety, depression, identity concerns, and life transitions. I welcome LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients.
I offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to support individuals with trauma, anxiety, grief, phobias, substance use, and other concerns. My approach is warm, thoughtful, and integrative, drawing from trauma-informed therapy, mind-body awareness, and practical tools for change.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked with survivors of interpersonal, structural, and state violence for over two decades as a lawyer, and walked with many clients through significant life changes and challenges.
As a therapist, I take a trauma-informed, strengths-based, collaborative, and culturally responsive approach to working with clients of all backgrounds. I specialize in working with adults of all ages, teens (15-older), and LGTQIA+ persons.
I have experience working with clients on issues including childhood abuse, dysfunction, and attachment trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, substance use, depression and anxiety, emotional disregulation, eating disorders (anorexia and bulimia), grief and loss, and life transitions.
I believe that our mental health challenges make sense based on our experiences and emotional learnings and that healing is possible. My training in multiple evidence-based therapeutic approaches allows me to propose and select treatment options that are responsive to your concerns, preferences, and goals. I invite you to reach out for a consultation.
