The short answer
With in-network insurance, most people in Las Vegas and Henderson pay their plan's outpatient mental-health copay — commonly $0 to $60 per session — or coinsurance after their deductible. Paying privately? Sessions run $90–$150 for 50–60 minutes, with prepay discounts. And if you're the victim of a violent crime, Nevada's Victims of Crime Program may pay for your counseling entirely. Call (702) 913-5498 — we'll verify your benefits and quote your real cost before you commit to anything.

Plans we are NOT in-network with
We are not in-network with Medicare, Humana, TriCare, or Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you have one of these plans, you may still be able to use out-of-network benefits (see the superbill section below) or our private-pay rates.
Insurance panels change during the year. If your plan isn't listed — or you're not sure what you have — call us at (702) 913-5498 and we'll check for you. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.
What you'll actually pay with insurance
Insurance math confuses almost everyone, so here's the plain-English version. When you use in-network insurance for therapy, your cost per session is determined by one of three things:
| If your plan has… | You pay… | Typical range in Nevada |
|---|---|---|
| A copay for outpatient mental health | A flat fee per session; your insurance pays the rest | $0–$60 per session |
| A deductible you haven't met yet | The insurer's contracted rate until the deductible is met | Varies by plan; the contracted rate is usually well below the "sticker" rate |
| Coinsurance after the deductible | A percentage of the contracted rate | Often 10–40% |
Two things worth knowing. First, under the federal Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, your plan's mental-health benefits generally can't be more restrictive than its medical benefits — so if your specialist copay is $40, your therapy copay is typically in the same neighborhood. Second, most Nevada plans now cover telehealth therapy at the same rate as in-person, but we confirm this per-plan when we verify your benefits.
The billing codes, if you want to check yourself
When you call your insurer, benefits are quoted by CPT code. The ones that matter for therapy: 90791 (initial intake assessment), 90834 (45-minute individual session), 90837 (60-minute individual session), and 90847 (family therapy with the client present). Asking "what is my cost for CPT 90837 with an in-network provider?" gets you a precise answer instead of a runaround.
Paying without insurance
Plenty of our clients pay privately — because they're uninsured, because their plan's deductible makes cash simpler, or because they prefer to keep therapy off their insurance record entirely (private pay means no diagnosis is reported to your insurer).
Our private-pay rate is $90–$150 per 50–60 minute session, depending on session type and clinician. Prepay packages bring the cost down: 5% off when you prepay 5 sessions, 10% off for 10 sessions. We accept cash, checks, debit and credit cards, HSA and FSA cards, Apple Pay, and Zelle.
And under the federal No Surprises Act, every private-pay client has the legal right to a written Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before treatment starts — call us, tell us what you're looking for, and we'll quote your exact per-session cost before you've committed to anything.
HSA and FSA funds work here
Therapy for a mental-health condition is a qualified medical expense under IRS rules, which means you can pay copays, deductibles, and private-pay sessions with pre-tax HSA or FSA dollars. If you have one of these accounts through work, it's often the cheapest way to pay for therapy.
Out-of-network? You may still be covered
If we're not in-network with your plan but you have out-of-network benefits (common on PPO plans), we can provide a superbill — an itemized receipt you submit to your insurer for partial reimbursement, often 50–80% of the session cost after your out-of-network deductible. Ask us and we'll walk you through it.
When therapy is free or fully covered in Nevada
Victims of crime: Nevada's VOCP may pay for your counseling
Most people have never heard of it, but Nevada runs a Victims of Crime Program that compensates eligible victims of violent crime — and counseling is a covered expense. Depending on eligibility, VOCP can pay for therapy for victims and certain family members even if you have no insurance at all. Our clinicians have experience working with victims of crime; if this might apply to you, mention it when you call and we'll help you understand the process. Read our full guide to free therapy for crime victims in Nevada.
Employer EAP sessions
Many Las Vegas employers — especially in hospitality and gaming — offer an Employee Assistance Program that includes a set number of free therapy sessions per year. Check your HR benefits portal; EAP sessions are confidential and don't touch your health insurance.
How to check your coverage in five minutes
Call the member-services number on the back of your insurance card and ask these six questions, exactly as written:
- Is Seeds2Succeed (or the specific clinician) in-network on my plan?
- What is my copay or coinsurance for outpatient mental health, CPT codes 90791 and 90837?
- Do I have a deductible that applies to mental health, and how much of it have I met?
- Is telehealth covered at the same rate as in-person visits?
- Do I need a referral or prior authorization? (For therapy, the answer is almost always no.)
- Is there a limit on the number of sessions per year?
Or skip the phone tree entirely: call (702) 913-5498 and we'll verify your benefits for you before your first appointment.
FAQs: paying for therapy in Las Vegas & Henderson
How much does therapy cost in Las Vegas with insurance?
If we're in-network with your plan, most clients pay only their plan's outpatient mental health copay — commonly $0 to $60 per session in Nevada — or a coinsurance percentage after meeting their deductible. Call us at (702) 913-5498 and we'll verify your exact cost before your first appointment.
How much does therapy cost in Las Vegas without insurance?
Private-pay sessions at Seeds2Succeed run $90 to $150 for a 50–60 minute session, depending on session type and clinician. Prepay packages bring that down: 5% off when you prepay 5 sessions, 10% off for 10. Under the federal No Surprises Act you're also entitled to a written Good Faith Estimate of your exact cost before treatment begins.
What insurance does Seeds2Succeed accept?
Seeds2Succeed is in-network with Aetna, Ambetter, BHO EAP, Cigna Evernorth, Clark County Self-Funded EPO, Health Plan of Nevada HMO, HPN Medicaid, Nevada Medicaid, Optum, Select Health, Sierra Health & Life, SilverSummit, Teachers Health Trust, UMR, and UnitedHealthcare — for in-person sessions in Henderson and telehealth anywhere in Nevada. We are NOT in-network with Medicare, Humana, TriCare, or Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Panels change, so call (702) 913-5498 to confirm your specific plan.
Does insurance cover couples or marriage counseling?
Often it does not. Health insurance pays for treatment of a diagnosed mental health condition, and "relationship problems" alone is not a billable diagnosis. If one partner has a covered diagnosis and the sessions treat it, family therapy codes may apply. We'll tell you honestly which situation applies to you before you commit.
Can I pay for therapy with an HSA or FSA?
Yes. Therapy for a mental health condition is a qualified medical expense, so you can pay with HSA or FSA funds — including for copays, deductibles, and private-pay sessions.
Is therapy free for crime victims in Nevada?
It can be. The Nevada Victims of Crime Program (VOCP) pays for counseling for eligible victims of violent crime and certain family members, even if you have no insurance. Our clinicians work with victims of crime and can help you understand whether VOCP may apply to your situation.
How do I find out what my insurance will pay for therapy?
Call the member services number on your insurance card and ask about your outpatient mental health benefits — whether the practice is in-network, your copay or coinsurance for CPT codes 90791 and 90837, whether you have a deductible to meet, and whether telehealth is covered the same as in-person. Or skip the phone tree — call us at (702) 913-5498 and we'll verify your benefits for you before your first session.
